Im not into paying double the price for caged eggs, hormone free poultry or grass fed beef but is it really that much healthier? Well, today I went to this small farmers market and the food looked oddly more colorful and fresh than Publix. The staff were helpful and explained a few of the items. This place reminded me of a small Whole Foods with their organic trend just slightly more pricey. Gotta do some research on organic foods before I can buy.
ORGANIC - BUT PRICEY... Basically, this is a micro strictly organic food market. This market is surrounded by a few food trucks slinging burgers, hummus, tacos and coffee down a little dirt road in SouthWest Ranches. Walked inside and noticed a simple no frills country store of happy customers. I have to admit, I was in extreme sticker shock by the cost of the organic hormone free foods. Extremely vibrant veggies and fruits sitting in bins across from large cold refrigerators containing raw goat milk, peanut butter, grass fed ground buffalo beef, sugar free uncured beef franks. sea moss gel, cheese, buffalo greek yogurt and containers of the most expensive peanut butter I've ever encountered 16 oz for $19.25. Spoke briefly with an employee that was packaging brown crate and free eggs and provided me with a background of the Fresh Market who obtain their organic goods from local trusted farms.
My favorite place to visit in early Saturday mornings. Get there early, the afternoons tend to be busy! My husband and I usually get the milk and heavy cream to make ice cream. The chocolate milk is also very good! The staff is super friendly! Next door is a trailer that sells food and coffee. In addition to their fresh dairy, they also sell meats and fish, fresh fruits and other healthy items!
Love love love Cute local market with lots of yummy options to shop from! They are located in a great place and have very friendly staff! The products are so good! Try it out!
